Alvis Lo鈥檚 research interests are in the areas of banking, debt contracting and financial reporting. He is also interested in the determinants and consequences of financial misstatements and earnings management. His research has appeared in leading academic journals such as聽Contemporary Accounting Research,聽Journal of Accounting Research,聽Management Science, and聽The Accounting Review, and in the media such as聽The Wall Street Journal听补苍诲听CFO Magazine. Alvis currently serves at the editorial board of聽The Accounting Review聽and has been a recipient of the journal鈥檚 Outstanding Reviewer Award. Alvis has taught courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels, and has taught courses on financial accounting, managerial accounting, and data analytics in accounting. He has been named a Teaching Star at the Carroll School.
