Student Parking

Students are expected to read and comply with Boston College parking and traffic regulations.

Undergraduate parking is very limited. Freshman and Sophomore class are not eligible for a parking permit.

Permit pick up is at Student Services in Lyons Hall.

Event & Other Parking Restrictions

Due to special events or snow, vehicles may be required to relocate.

All vehicles, including undergraduate resident permit vehicles, must be off campus by 11:00 p.m. the evening prior to scheduled home football games. Vehicles remaining on the Chestnut Hill campus after midnight will be towed. Students with resident permitted vehicles (SRF/SR2, TSR-2, and SGS-2) may park on the Newton Campus for home football games.

Be sure to monitor your ÌÇÐÄvlogÖ±²¥Æ½Ì¨ Email for any communication regarding restricted parking.

Lost Permits

All lost permits must be reported to the Transportation and Parking Office before a new permit is obtained through the Office of Student Services. Filing a false report will result in the permit holder's forfeiture of future parking permit privileges from Boston College.

A replacement fee of $35 will be assessed for lost, stolen, or misplaced permits. Damaged permits will be replaced at no charge upon exchange of the original damaged permit.

Summer Parking

Students working on campus must provide written documentation from their department, including dates of employment. This should be on department letterhead and signed by the student's supervisor.

Purchase a Permit for the Summer

Summer permits are available to any student working, taking classes, or living on campus during the summer. Cost is $346 (includes overnight parking).

Purchase a Weekly Permit

Best for students, camp/conference attendees, and staff here for one summer session.ÌýValid for one week after date of purchase.ÌýCan be purchased for multiple weeks for those staying less than the entire summer.ÌýCost is $98 per week (includes overnight parking).

Pay Daily RateÌý

  • ÌýHourly parking is available in the Beacon and Commonwealth Garage for $6.00/hour (max of $28.00/day). Overnight parking is allowed forÌývisitors from May 21st - August 25th, 2024.

  • ÌýBrighton/Newton campus single-day pass is available for $8.00 at . Receipt must be printed and displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle. Not valid on Chestnut Hill campus. No overnight parking allowed.

Temporary & Break Parking

Students in need of short-term parking may request a temporary 1-week parking permit to park on campus (includes overnight parking).

Students may store their vehicles on campus during school breaks. Temporary parking is available for Thanksgiving break, Winter break, Easter break, Spring break, and Senior week.
