Weddings
The Great Hall at Messina College (formerly the Dane Estate) is a premier destination for your perfect wedding celebration. The elegant rooms of the mansion and its surrounding grounds offer a stately, inviting, and picturesque setting for the celebration you envision.
The Library
Off the foyer is the elegant Library with shelves filled with many books from the Dane family鈥檚 library. The room showcases听original hand-crafted artistry such as matchbook paneling of Circassian walnut paneling,听high Moorish arcading along the ceiling, and period-style furnishings. It is an ideal space for small receptions, cocktail hours, and ceremonies.
The Great Hall
In The Great Hall, a carved double staircase descends to a large room with oak-paneled walls set below a beamed and gilt ceiling, jutting stone casement windows, and teak flooring. Doors open to the gorgeous Gardens. Adding to the grandeur, the room hosts a fireplace and the pipes of an organ (the rest of which was donated in 1956 after a fire devestated Eliot Church in Newton Center).

The Foyer
The grand entrance to the estate, The Foyer is perfect for pre-颅function cocktails and wedding portraits. Guests will admire the听massive rustic granite and polished red marble fireplace, dark oak paneling, high ceilings, and carved gilt detail.听 The original paired French doors lead听out onto the adjacent terrace overlooking the beautiful grounds and the pond.
The Gardens
The Garden is enhanced by spectacular rhododendron hedges. The sweeping lawn is well suited for an outdoor ceremony or a location for a tented reception.

The Great Hall Site Fees Include:
Historic setting with 45 acres of wooded estate for photography.
One private dressing room.听 听听
Five hours of guest time, two hours of set up and one hour of breakdown time.
One hour wedding rehearsal prior to event day at an agreeable time.
Complimentary parking for up to 50 cars.
Tables and chairs owned by the estate.
All events must conclude by 11:00 p.m.
Ceremony Fee:
$1000, will include an additional 陆 hour of time and setup of chairs. If inclement weather occurs the ceremony will be seated under the tent at the tables or in The Great Hall depending on the guest count.
