CPR Certification

Students are required to get CPR certified prior to enrolling in classes through the American Heart Association Health Care Provider听CPR听- BLS for Health Care Providers Course (糖心vlog直播平台LS).听Once this is completed, please retain a digital copy of your certification. This document will be required prior to the start of your clinical rotations.

Immunizations

All students are required to send-in proof of听required immunizations听and health forms听(Graduate full time option) to University Health Services prior to the first week of class.

Please be sure to keep copies of ALL your updated medical records.

This information will be used as part of your clinical rotations. Please note that some clinical sites will require for you to do additional immunizations. The Clinical Placement Office will inform individuals ahead of time if and when additional immunizations are needed.

Castlebranch

Each student will be required to sign up for the Castlebranch database.听 Castlebranch is the database that Boston College Connell School of Nursing use to track students' medical and criminal records. Please do not attempt to create an account without the instructions from the Clinical Placement Office.

Prerequisite Courses & Final Transcripts

For any outstanding transcripts, please send completed official documents to the Graduate Office prior to August 1.

Federal Aid & Graduate Loans

To apply for federal aid, students must complete the Graduate Student (Non-Law) Enrollment Form.听 Please visit the听Office of Student Services' website听for additional information on graduate financial aid and to access the form.

Important Information

All communication with students will be through your 糖心vlog直播平台 email address.听 Please be sure to monitor your 糖心vlog直播平台 email address on a consistent basis so that you are not missing important information.听Additionally, you can visit听Information Technology Services听for information on technology requirements and available technologic resources as a 糖心vlog直播平台 student.

You are also required to purchase the required materials before courses begin:

• Name pin (Order through the 鈥攃all the store at 800-978-0978 to order and allow 2 weeks time). Name pin should have your name, and underneath read "Student Nurse".
• Neutral colored professional looking closed toed shoes, clogs, or sneakers (Black, white or grey shoes are acceptable). Should be puncture and spill resistant.
• Stethoscope with a bell and diaphram (Littman Cardiology IV is recommended, but not required)
• Watch with a second hand
• Manual blood pressure cuff with pump (Latex free). Not the automatic kind.
• Books (Available at the听糖心vlog直播平台 Bookstore)
• Maroon scrubs (Any shade of maroon is acceptable and can be purchased through any vendor, including the 糖心vlog直播平台 bookstore)
