Profile

Josh Seim is broadly interested in the governance of poverty and suffering, and this has led him into the sociologies of medicine, punishment, labor, and more. His research has appeared in听American Sociological Review,听Sociological Methods and Research,听Social Science and Medicine,听Punishment and Society,听Journal of Contemporary Ethnography,听and other outlets. His first book,听, was released in 2020 by University of California Press.听
