This three-day event will embark on an enlightening journey through multifaceted aspects of mental and physical health in Black and Brown communities. Over the course of three days, attendees will have the opportunity to engage, learn, and contribute to the advancement of health and wellness in Black and Brown communities.

Roxann Mascoll M.S., MSW, LICSW,听is a staff psychotherapist at Harvard University and the Brandeis University Counseling Center. Roxann is the Lead Clinician for The Triggered Project, and a co-host of the Living a Triggered Life Podcast.

James 鈥淛immy鈥 Hill

James Hills is a prominent community advocate, self-made talk show host, and critical voice in the Boston media landscape. Throughout his 40-year career, James has mastered community building and relations by serving in leadership positions in several Boston-based nonprofits and all three levels of government.


Dr. Richard J. Lee, MD

Richard J. Lee

Dr. Richard J. Lee, MD was born in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of immigrant parents from Korea. He earned his A.B. and A.M. degrees in chemistry from Harvard University, and M.D. and Ph.D. (in molecular biology) from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He came to Mass General for internal medicine residency training in 2001 and hasn't left the area since then. He then completed fellowship training at the combined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute-MGH hematology / oncology program. His current positions are Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and clinical co-director for the Claire and John Bertucci Center for Genitourinary Cancers at MGH. He holds the Weissman Family Endowed Chair in Genitourinary Cancers at MGH.


Dr. Keith Crawford, MD

Keith Crawford

Dr. Keith Crawford, MD joined the Prostate Health Education Network in 2019.听 As director of clinical trials and patient education, he is responsible for implementing programs in these areas as well as working with patients and PHEN partners.Dr. Crawford has more than 20 years of experience in the Life Sciences and completed his graduate and post-graduate training at Harvard Medical School where he developed competencies in the area of genomics, proteomics, immunology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and regenerative medicine.During his postdoctoral training, Keith was selected by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as a Harold Amos Fellow. His work in the field of immunology caught the eye of the Department of Defense where he received funding to develop antidotes for chemical and biological weapons exposure as well as create a high throughput platform for the detection of biological weapons and emerging infectious agents.

Dr. Christopher St. Vil is an Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo (SUNY) in the School of Social Work. He is currently conducting research around improving the efficacy of front-line community violence prevention workers integrating research methods with social service delivery.


Dr. Robert O. Motley Jr

Dr. Robert O. Motley Jr. is an Assistant Professor and founder of the Racism-based Violence Injury & Prevention Lab at Boston College School of Social Work. His research primarily focuses on the intersection of racism, violence, and trauma among Black emerging adults aged 18-29.

Carl Williams is听a survivor of police torture and is currently a Learning Fellow at the Chicago Torture Justice Center (CTJC). Carl provides support for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated men and women.


La Tanya Jenifor-Sublett

La Tanya Jenifor-Sublett

La Tanya Jenifor-Sublett experienced abuse and torture at the hands of Chicago Police at the age of 19 and is now the Peer Reentry Program Director at the Chicago Torture Justice Center (CTJC).

Anthony Jones is an educator, criminal justice reform advocate, paralegal, and participant at the Chicago Torture Justice Center (CTJC).


Lisa Thurau

Lisa Thurau

Lisa Thurau is the Executive Director of Strategies for Youth that provides training to Law enforcement officers and youth to create trust and accountability.

Ibn-Hashim Bakari is the Director & Chairman of the Board for Lights & Sirens International, an organization designed to encourage citizens and public safety personnel to be active participants in understanding the other鈥檚 perspective through cultural exposure, accountability, ego, implicit bias, and conflict resolution.

Anthony Delgado

Anthony Delgado is an undergraduate in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College. He served as a Lights and Sirens International member during his junior summer of 2022.
